Overview of Industry Trends in Digital
Copier Market
In today’s global business marketplace,
we are seeing a dramatic increase in the rate
of change fueled by the Internet. Established
business models and companies that once dominated an
industry for decades are now realizing that they too
must make changes or face continued loss of market
share and profits. A fundamental change is
occurring in the world economy.
So what does it all mean? It means a new
direction is now reshaping both our personal and
business worlds. Corporate America is focusing no
longer just on print alone. The expectation of
"value-added" services and support has become a
reality.
Corporations and individuals are seeking
partners who offer a wide assortment of document
imaging solutions with all of the service and
support required in connecting to a digital, networked
world. Those companies that focus on servicing the
needs of their customer base the most efficiently will
be better positioned to respond to new
opportunities as they arise in the twenty-first century. You will be comforted in knowing that
Best Image Systems, Inc. is well positioned to meet
the needs of our existing customer base as we continue to
respond and develop new products and
enhancements to meet even the most demanding of
customers. Our digital multifunctional products are a
perfect example of our customer
responsiveness to current market conditions by
re-establishing the benchmark of excellence within the
copier industry.
Looking to the near future, industry
analysts predict that by the year 2007, monochrome laser
MFP sales in the 14-20 ppm segment will top
680,000 units – that’s a 15% CAGR for the period
2001-2007.
Additionally, during the same period
unit sales of the 1-13 ppm segment are expected to drop
37% over the same period, being replaced by more
robust 14- 20 ppm models (chart on next page).
Best Image Systems, Inc. is ready for these changes in the market as we
continue to bring new products to the market place.
